A Surprise a Day...
When your lover has to go away on a trip for a few days, tuck a little surprise into their bag for each day that they are gone. It can be as simple as a pack of cards or a silly little toy. Be sure to wrap them up individually. Think of them as stocking stuffers. It will help him or her to ease the loneliness of being apart.
An Autographed Copy
Find out what new book he/she wants to read, and buy it for him/her. Then write a personal note in the front of the book and date it. It shows you are paying attention to your partner´s wants, and also makes a special memento.
A rose is a rose
Pick up a rose on the way home (or to your girl friend´s home). Keep it in water in the car overnight and place it on her windshield (if she is going to work in the morning) or on her pillow before you leave.
Conserve Energy
Take a shower together. Scrub each other´s backs with nice smelling soap. Then towel-dry each other off. What a fun way to get clean!
Reliving the Past
Usually, reliving the past is seen as a negative thing. Now you can make it into something that enhances and strengthens your relationships:
~read old love letters to each other
~visit the site of your first date, or better yet, recreate your first date
~hold hands
~flirt in public
~create a memory book and include mementos from your past
Touch
Sometimes just the act of touching is enough to bring you together. Give her a massage, let him rest his head in your lap, or run your hands through her hair. Your touch alone can convey the depth of your love.
